The images above are a nice example of lunchtime treatments with Juvederm. There is no down-time. The before and after photos were taken minutes apart. A soft filler material was used to correct the deep lines between Jackie’s eyebrows. The photos above are taken a few minutes apart. Dr. Gross also placed Botox therapy between the eyebrows to relax the muscles.
What to Expect
Because JUVÉDERM® XC is a simple, nonsurgical wrinkle treatment, there is minimal recovery or downtime (and the results are instant!). So you can make an appointment to stop by our Orlando Lake Mary office for treatment on the way home from work or the gym, or even while the kids are at soccer practice—and get right back to your daily routine. Here’s what to expect when you visit Dr. Gross at our Primera office for treatment.
We recommend that you avoid any medications that can prolong bleeding, such as aspirin and Motrin (NSAIDs), for at least a week prior to receiving JUVÉDERM® for wrinkles in order to reduce the risk of bruising and bleeding at the injection site.
Anesthetic may not be needed prior to treatment since JUVÉDERM® XC is specially formulated with lidocaine (a type of anesthetic) to improve comfort during treatment. We may also elect to use a topical anesthetic to numb the treatment area before your injections. Our healthcare professional will then ease the JUVÉDERM® XC under your skin (where wrinkles and folds occur) to replace lost skin volume. Following the injection, we may gently massage the treated areas. The procedure is quick and easy and the results are instant! The JUVÉDERM® injection itself usually takes only about 15 minutes.
You may experience minor discomfort, tenderness, temporary redness, swelling, bruising, or firmness, at the injection sites. Studies have shown that these are usually mild to moderate in nature and clear up on their own in 7 days or less. You can apply an ice pack for a brief period which we supply for comfort.
