Orlando Plastic Surgery Radiesse Logo Radiesse® – From Dr. GrossIf you are looking for Radiesse® in Orlando, Florida–  then Dr. Gross’ Orlando-based Primera Plastic Surgery is your place. Radiesse®, a member of the filler product family, is unique in more than one respect. It is made of very small calcium microspheres which are suspended in a water based gel. As Radiesse® is injected, the micropheres form a platform beneath the skin, stimulating collagen production and encouraging tissue growth in the injection area. Although it produces immediate correction of facial folds and wrinkles, it also acts to rebuild your skin’s foundation.

This filler is ideal for treatment of lines and wrinkles, particularly those in the area of the nose and mouth, including those lines which go from the corners of the nose, downward toward the mouth. It is also used successfully where there is fat loss, to improve sunken cheeks. It is a simple non-surgical treatment with no downtime. Dr. Gross may use a combination of fillers to obtain the best results for each individual.  “I like this product for the high cheek bone areas, under the eyes (tear troughs), and to build the deeper nasolabial folds and jawline”, says Dr. Gross.

You can make an appointment for Radiesse and stop by our Orlando Lake Mary office for treatment on the way home from work or the gym, or even while the kids are at soccer practice—and get right back to your daily routine. Commonly Asked Questions

How long do the effects of Radiesse® last?
Another unique feature of Radiesse is the length of time the effects of the injections remain. In most cases, the youthful look of facial restoration from this treatment last 1-2 years. Although some individuals prefer a less permanent correction of facial imperfections, others find this quality to be highly desirable.

Is there any anesthesia needed?
Topical numbing cream (BLT) may be used to maximize your comfort during the procedure. However, most patients do not require this as Dr. Gross mixes the Radiesse with lidocaine, a local anesthetic. Most patients report little pain when Radiesse is administered by Dr. Gross.

Is there any pain associated with Radiesse treatments?
You may experience a mild  amount of stinging or aching sensation during injection, but this limited in nature.

Will there be any redness of the skin?
To ensure an even correction, Dr. Gross may massage the treated area, which may cause a temporary, minimal amount of pinkness/ redness to your skin.

Are there any possible side effects to Radiesse?
Bruising at the site of injection is a commonly reported side effect. To minimize bruising, inform us if you use blood thinners such as ibuprofen, aspirin or herbal preparations prior to your procedure. Temporary minimal to moderate swelling can be expected, which should dissipate following injection. Some patients report dramatic reduction in swelling hours after their treatment. It is normal to experience some tenderness at the treatment site for a few days.

Testimonials

I would definitely get treated again with Radiesse® . If I had friends or family that this was an issue for them, that it really bothered them that they had the lines, I would definitely recommend Radiesse and have them talk to Dr. G about it. It’s been a month since my treatment and I’m very happy with the results. It was better than I expected and I would do it again.  I would highly recommend Radiesse (and Primera) to my family and friends.”
