Edward J. Gross, M.D. – Biography
Edward J. Gross grew up in Miami, FL and developed a keen interest in the study of Medicine as young man. His father, the late Edward F. Gross MD, was his mentor and passed on the ideals of a lifetime in medicine during a career that spanned over 30 years in Miami. Dr. Gross graduated with honors from the University of Miami where he received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry and then graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine, completing his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1989. He completed his surgical residency in Boston at Tufts University and Boston University, and was then granted a Fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery at Indiana University. He is double-board certified. He has been in practice for 17 years and has earned the confidence and referrals of many physicians in the community over the years. His excellence and passion for facial plastic surgery have consistently inspired the loyalty and trust from patients as well as physicians, establishing a successful practice at Primera.
Dr. Gross is widely acknowledged as an expert in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, specializing in Rhinoplasty and Revision Rhinoplasty in Orlando. He is qualified by the Florida Board of Medicine. He has hospital priveleges at Orlando Regional Healthcare System (ORHS) and is recognized by the American Medical Association as a “Physician Who Cares”. Dr. Gross is active in community outreach programs and participates in the FACE TO FACE and FACES of HONOR charities, which provide pro-bono surgical care to victims of domestic violence, children suffering from facial deformities, and U.S. sevicemen and women with facial injuries and scars. He is one of only 750 surgeons worldwide certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS), and is an esteemed member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Gross is President-elect of the Florida Society of Facial Plastic Surgery (FSFPS) and past-President of the Seminole County Medical Society. Dr. Gross serves as Volunteer Faculty at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. He currently holds an educational position with the Board (ABFPRS) as a board examination question writer, a process which certifies new doctors in the field. He has been voted ’ Best Plastic Surgeon‘ by the readers of Orlando Magazine and has been featured as an expert in his field in the Orlando Sentinel newspaper.
