What does the procedure do?
This out patient procedure minimizes forehead creases, lifts drooping eyebrows, removes hooding over eyes, and tightens and lifts the forehead skin.
How long will this take?
Approximately 1 hour in our AAAASF surgery center at Primera.
What type of anesthesia do you use?
We require general anesthesia for this procedure; however, the recovery is quick.
Is this an outpatient procedure?
Yes, this is an outpatient procedure at Primera Surgery Center.
What are the common side effects?
Temporary swelling, numbness, headache, bruising. Traditional method: Possible scalp itching and hair loss.
What are the risks?
Injury to facial nerve, causing loss of motion, muscle weakness, or asymmetrical look. Infection. Broad or excessive scarring of scalp. Eyebrow asymmetry.
How long is the recovery time?
Back to work: 7 to 10 day. More strenuous activity: several weeks. Full recovery from bruising: 2 to 3 weeks. Limit sun exposure for several months.
