Double board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Edward Gross often performs an endoscopic forehead lift, also called a transbleph brow lift, to give his Orlando area patients natural-looking smoothing and elevation of the brow. This facial surgery procedure is particularly useful for younger patients, where the removal of excess skin is not required.

Endoscopic Forehead Lift With a Facial Plastic Surgery Specialist
Dr. Gross uses absorbable mini-plates called Endotines® to support the forehead lift during endoscopic surgery. He performs this procedure via tiny hidden incisions in the scalp that are not visible and heal rapidly. The mini-plates dissolve in 4 to 6 months, but the new brow position can last for 10 years or more.
Because this procedure affects the eyebrows, Dr. Gross often performs it in conjunction with upper eyelid surgery to achieve optimal results. He uses computer imaging to preview your potential results before any procedures. The best candidates for the endoscopic forehead lift must have a BMI below 30.
Patients with more advanced facial aging may benefit more from a direct brow lift procedure than this less invasive endoscopic option.
“An endoscopic procedure offers the advantages of minimal incisions and a quicker recovery while posing a reduced risk of scarring, bleeding, and hair loss.”
– Dr. Gross
From A Patient's Perspective
Read and hear real people discuss their unique experiences and get a perspective that is sometimes missing from shorter reviews. These stories feature some of our actual patients describing their personal journeys and what makes Primera Plastic Surgery such a special place.
What is endoscopic forehead lift recovery like?
Performed as an outpatient procedure with general anesthesia in our AAAASF-approved surgical center, an endoscopic forehead lift lasts an average of 1 hour. Most patients can return to work 7 to 10 days after their endoscopic surgery, and more strenuous activities can follow several weeks later. You may experience some bruising, which will dissipate after 2 or 3 weeks. You will need to minimize sun exposure for several months following your surgery.
What are the benefits of endoscopic forehead lift or transbleph brow lift surgery? There are smaller incisions, minimal scarring, less bleeding, less hair loss, and quicker recovery.
What does the procedure do? This procedure minimizes forehead creases, lifts drooping eyebrows, removes hooding over eyes, and tightens and lifts the forehead skin.
What are the common side effects? Temporary swelling, numbness, headache, and bruising.
“The new youthful brow position is usually maintained for 10 years, letting you enjoy your new look.”
– Dr. Gross
What are the risks? Injury to the facial nerve, causing loss of motion, muscle weakness, an asymmetrical look, infection, broad or excessive scarring of the scalp, and eyebrow asymmetry.
