A topical numbing cream is first applied to the skin and left in place for about 30 minutes. Next the skin is cleansed and dried. Your aesthetician will then move the SkinPen slowly over the treatment areas. Most patients experience little to no discomfort, saying the sensation feels like mild vibrations. A microneedling treatment takes 30 to 45 minutes to perform on the face. Your appointment will be longer if multiple areas are treated or if the procedure is combined with other treatments.
Many men and women see improvements after only 1 or 2 sessions. However you may require a series of appointments to reach your aesthetic goals. For deeper scars, we can add injectable fillers after a few microneedling treatments to provide optimal results.
