Restylane Kysse’s crosslinked hyaluronic acid formulation is explicitly designed to add volume while preserving movement. Your lips will not appear excessively plump or stiff but will instead look and feel like a natural part of your face. Because hyaluronic acid attracts and maintains moisture, your lips will also look smoother and more hydrated.
The filler is formulated with a numbing agent called lidocaine to keep you comfortable during your injections. Your provider may also apply BLT, a highly effective topical anesthetic, to further enhance your comfort. The treatment consists of a few quick injections to precisely place the filler just under your skin. The whole process typically only takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

Like other dermal fillers, there is little to no downtime after a Restylane Kysse treatment. You may notice some swelling or bruising around your injection sites for a week or so after your appointment, but this doesn’t stop most people from returning to their usual activities.
Gently applying an ice pack to your lips will help reduce swelling. To lower your chances of bleeding or bruising, avoid alcohol and taking blood-thinning supplements and medications, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, for about a week before your appointment.
